Hi, I’m Jill Botelho…
…the founder and creator of Path Occupational Therapy, a Calgary-based occupational therapy practice focusing on building capacity and empowering parents and educators of young students. I am also a determined mom of three passionate little men. Just like you, the laundry piles up, the worries filter in, I make dinner while we practice reading and I have workbooks that have never been used. At the end of the day, I am doing my best to to raise engaged, confident and resourceful kids.

In my many years of working with pre-school and elementary aged students, I always observed the greatest rewards when I worked alongside passionate parents. It is my goal to help you find a playful path for your child’s growth and development.
I completed my Bachelor of Kinesiology at Acadia University and went on to earn a Master of Clinical Science in Occupational Therapy at McMaster University. Since 2004, I have worked in the school health field. I love teaching drawing and printing (visual motor skills) in silly ways and especially adore working on formation patterns and never picking up a pencil and paper.
I have a passion for play, movement and hot beverages. The primary occupation of a child is play. I wish, more “big people” remembered that they can have and enjoy an occupation of play. Movement (and coffee) grants me energy and helps me stay connected with the things and people I love most. With three energetic little men in my home, there is always a hockey game, light sabre battle, or competition to witness (or break up).
Path Occupational Therapy was established in 2020. More than ever I realized we are all walking this path together.
